AS IAN started the car and pointed it toward home, he was faced with a dilemma. He wanted Kane, badly. He wanted nothing more than to get in the door and fuck Kane senseless. No, he wanted to make love to Kane, and he had a feeling that’s exactly what would happen. But he was also determined to make this about the other side of dating, so he was trying to figure out how to handle it. He still hadn’t come up with anything when they got home. Ian checked the clock and saw it was late enough that he could reasonably go to bed.

After the door was locked behind them, Kane turned and smiled, blushing. “I… had fun. Thank you.”

Ian grinned. “I did too.” Ian leaned forward, put his hand on the back of Kane’s head, and pulled Kane close. He paused, eyes darting from Kane’s lips to those gorgeous dark eyes, savoring the slight surprise, the anticipation. Then he laid his lips over Kane’s and gave a gentle, light kiss. He kept it from getting heated, kept it from being so much that he couldn’t pull away. “I can’t wait for our next one. Night, Kane.”

Ian smiled at the stunned expression on Kane’s face, then turned and walked to his bedroom as fast as he could without it looking like he was running. If he stayed any longer, his determination would falter and he’d drag Kane to bed anyway.

“Night, Ian.” Kane’s stunned voice followed him down the hall.

His smile widened as he shut his door; then he sighed. He glanced down at his right hand. “Guess it’s you and me,” he whispered, but his smile stayed in place. He was dating Kane. He could take a frustrated night or two in exchange for that.
